My son has attended Searcy schools and now high school his entire academic career. We have had an incredible experience while here. He has teachers who have shown up hours early and stayed hours late to ensure his academic success. During those struggles showing him that they are in the fight with him. He has served in student government all of his high school years and an extremely active EAST program that he is so proud of. He has participated in a variety of athletic programs while in Searcy. But his heart is on the football field. The Searcy coaching staff have been there for him and with him every step of the way. They have taught him perseverance, how to handle adversity, self denial, sacrifice, dedication, and respect. He respects and loves his coaching staff and teammates. He calls his teammates brothers. We are so thankful for his time at Searcy High. And are even more thankful to its AD, Coaches, and all its faculty for all they have done for our son. Amazing school in deed.......
Sad when the football team plays players who do not make the grade and get suspended from school but those who make the grade and work their butts off get screwed. Showing favoritism by the coaches needs to stop. And a team is just that, a team. When said team picks on another player, calls him names, throws stuff at him, threatens him, pisses in his helmet, is just showing how immature and ignorant you are. A student killed himself due to bullying on homecoming and nothing was done to those who did the bullying. Why? Because Searcy wants to keep things hush hush and not punish those who deserve to get punished. A football player got caught consuming alcohol on school grounds and got nothing and played every single game. But another student gleeks on a student and gets a 5 day suspension. Does this seen fair? One is Illegal and deserved a suspension from school and game play but noooooo. All because this players daddy is athletic director and his brother is offensive coordinator, it got swept under the rug. This school is all about the wrong things. If you can avoid it, do it. Choose Riverview or somewhere else, not Searcy High School. This school doesn't even deserve one star, but had to so they would post this.

Great school that offers a wide range of academic studies for the schools size. They work well with the community. They are human and therefore aren't always the most perfect people you'll work with. However they certainly strive for academic excellence.
This school is all about the kids who come from families with money. The coaches on the football staff are pathetic as well, they play kids who are ineligible to play and show a great deal of favoritism. Earlier this year a young man who was having problems with bullies committed suicide and the school did nothing to help that young man instead let the situation go unresolved until the young man had killed himself. If you are considering sending your child to school here please think twice and consider sending them elsewhere. Especially if they play sports and you aren't in their little "clique" because they will make your child miserable.
